Head of Global PhotoVogue and Director of the Photo Vogue Festival (Italy)
Alessia Glaviano, born in Palermo, has a degree in Economics from the Bocconi University in Milan. After graduating, she moved to New York, where she worked with a range of international fashion photographers. Five years later, she moved back to Milan, to begin her career as a photo editor for Vogue Italia. In her 20-plus years with Condé Nast, in addition to launching and overseeing PhotoVogue, on which users can share their own photographs, she has also been the driver behind select special events, and has curated exhibitions in prestigious museums and institutions with some of the most important artists of our times. In 2016 Glaviano directed the first edition of the Photo Vogue Festival in Milan. Besides her editorial activity, she holds lectures and conferences on a regular basis, is a jury member for numerous international competitions, and is a leading figure on the international photography scene.
