Serghei Duve, Bright Memory
The series seeks images that convey the feeling described by the Russian expression “bright memories”: everyday life, marked by nostalgia and division. In his personal photographs, the German photographer (born in the Republic of Moldova in 1999) brings to light his family’s close ties to their old homeland of Transnistria – an internationally unrecognised territory, supported only by Russia, which declared independence from the Republic of Moldova in 1990.
